The May 27-28, 2017 tornado outbreak was the most catastrophic outbreak in the US state of Oklahoma since the May 18-21, 2013 tornado outbreak. This outbreak featured an EF5 tornado that killed 16 people as it neared Perry, Oklahoma. A very long-tracked EF4 tornado touched down in Northern Texas and traveled all the way to central Kansas. The deadliest of the outbreak was an EF4 that struck Wichita, killing 29 people.
