The July 21st, 2016 Las Vegas Tornado was a Rare and Destructive EF3 tornado that struck Las Vegas, Nevada.


Beginning late on July 20th, 2016, an upper level low parked itself over central California, this caused much need rain to fall over drought stricken areas of the west.

This upper level low led to the Formation of a Cold Front that formed over Northern San Diego, California.

The Cold Front moved North-Northeast, it entered Nevada just before Midnight, spawning spotty severe storms and weak Tornadoes (EF0 to EF2), one of which was a Rather Large Mile Wide EF2 that caused some damage outside of Last Chance, NV
