Hurricane Nicole was the strongest tropical cyclone of the Season to make landfall in the United States during the 2016 season. It was the Sixteenth tropical cyclone, Fourteenth named storm, Tenth Hurricane and the fifth major hurricane of the 2016 Atlantic hurricane season.
