An area of low pressure and high winds of 35 mph formed into a tropical depression, and then formed to be Tropical Storm Bonnie. Bonnie became a category 1 hurricane reaching a peak of 85mph before weakening after making landfall, resulting in downgrading to a tropical storm. The tropical storm was later downgraded to a tropical depression again. Bonnie caused $20 million in damage and 10 lives were taken by this storm.
