Well, 2017 is no more.. as sad as it is, i know some people couldnt wait to get it out of the way partly because of the hurricanes that 2017 produced.
But i bet you guys are ready to see 2018 partly due to the chance of another great season.
January will see some new works as well as continuations of what i was already working on.

im pumped for 2018. as we are all its gonna be a clean slate for all of us to work with for my first year on events it was quite a fun one even though i got banned i deserved as i was handaling what a admin should've been handaling why im i so stupid lol, anyways we will remember those who we lost this year and i hope those hit by Harvey, Maria, Irma and TY Tembin have a good 2018 and recover.

Well, thanks to the fact that Christmas is soon and i've had to help family and out get any shopping done, i keep forgetting post more work.
BUT, i have been formulating an idea.
I'm ever since i had made the how-to video on how to create a "Current Hurricane Infobox" i've been trying to experiment with how we could also create our own Hypothetical Hurricane Hunter Vortex messages and stuff, all of this could go into a special infobox or something..
Before i get to really go into this experimental creation, i'd love some creative examples from some of you guys that might be familiar with the hurricane hunter vortex messages, how they work and what kind of info do you think the vortex message infobox should display?

Tornado History Wiki
Hi again! I was wondering if anyone would like to help me with my expansion on the History of Tornadoes Wiki, which I started last year. It is pretty hard to gather all information of tornadoes by myself. I have been working from tornadohistoryproject.com if anyone was wondering how to get the information. I have been working on the Pre-1950 tornado outbreaks, however, with PDF files that I have downloaded and have determined the potential Fujita rating of the tornadoes. Things need to be Fixed (If they can)
Well, im writing this blog and mostly directing it to my wiki admins because i'm not happy with some changes that i saw.
These changes were all done WITHOUT MY CONSENT/OK.. A number of it seemed to be from Layten's doing and he CLAIMS to have talked to the admins about it.
The one change i cannot stand the most is the Hurricane's change from "SSHS" to "SSHWS"..
I DO NOT find any of this acceptable, yes i know i havent been around that much during the last little while (since i've been doing CAH Sundays) but it doesnt mean that i dont care about what happens on this Wiki or that it gives anyone on this wiki the okay to just DO something without getting the creator/founder's (my) okay to make changes.. even if you had to leave a note or somethi…

Will we see a late season devastating typhoon this year?
As we all know, the 2017 WPac season has been the year of the South China Sea, as 15 named storms have formed in that region alone. However, we ahve lacked of any strong typhoon taking a direct path into the Philippines, as a couple of these happen a year. 2017 has seen 0, and it is almost 2018. Most of the storms this year have been very weak, boring, and repititive. The only cool storm we had this year was Typhoon Noru, which became the second-longest lasting typhoon on record in the WPac basin. Our retirement candidate this year occurred in the SCS, Hato, which became the worst typhoon on record in Macau. All other storms, however, have been tame and boring. Although we had Typhoons Doksuri and Damrey, we might consider them retirement …
Special Event This Week

I just wanted to let you know that my usual Cards Against Humanity Sunday will be postponed for today. Most of the CAH Servers have been acting really oddly and have been going down at random times. But this is where i have an idea in mind.
As you guys know, this week we will be celebrating Thanksgiving (Thursday).
This week we will actually be playing CAH on two different days:
Thanksgiving Thursday at 7:25 PM Eastern Time Sunday, AKA Cards Against Humanity Sunday, at 8:45 PM Eastern Time
I will be doing these as well as doing some more work during this particular week.

My First Weather Station!
At my birthday party last night, I got a brand new AcuRite weather station. I have named it BOB1, implying that there will be more of them named Bob. BOB1 has a barometer, anemometer, and it gives 5 day forecasts with the change in pressure. The thermometer on BOB1 measures temperatures from -40°F to 130°F. The anemometer can measure winds safely to 99 mph, and the barometer can measure anything above 1050 mbar. It shows all time highs and lows with data and all time high winds. It measures indoor temperature too. I loved getting this, and I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving next week. PS: Wish me a happy birthday on Black Friday (November 24)! :)

More Global Totals Coming Soon
Well, i've had a bit of a break to help family out but also to focus on making maps for my Global Tropical Cyclone Totals..
This has actually taken me a bit longer than i was prepared for.
Not just because of what i've been using to make the tracks for the storms. But i've managed to do more brain STORMing than i thought i would.
Though i didnt get very far with 2018 as of yet, i've managed to:
1. make the Entirety of the 2020 and 2021 Atlantic hurricane seasons.
2. I've got the first couple of storm tracks for 2019 and 2022 Atlantic hurricane seasons, as well ss one storm so far for 2025 and 2027.
3. 2019 through 2021, for the eastern pacific side of things, is so far getting some good storms as far as things indicate.

Ok so I'm not sure what's going on but whenever I try to edit something or comment on something it just cancels the action and says "There seems to be a problem with your session login; action cancelled to prevent session hijacking. Go to your previous page and reload, then try again" Whenever I do that, it keeps saying the same thing. I even closed all my tabs, opened a new one, logged out then back in and it keeps saying the same thing. Please help.
Going on vacation
Okay, so I will not be active this week because I will be on vacation. I'm going to Florence, Kentucky to go to several places in the area for the week, so I won't be on today or the rest of the week until late Friday.
Official 2018 Lake Superior hurricane season prediction
Okay, next year will be the third Lake Superior season I have made. We've had 2016 and 2017, and now 2018 is just around the corner. The TornadoGenius Meteorological Center predicts that the 2018 Lake Superior hurricane season of 2018 will be:
Some people might wonder why this season is predicted to be inactive. After the 2017 season, the waters are expected to cool significantly due to very violent storms forming all over the lake, causing waters to be very below average in temperature. Coll SSTs are not conducive for tropical cyclone development, so the TGMC predicts that only 7-9 named storms will form in Lake Superior in 2018.

New Hurricane
I'm new to the community, and I was wondering if I can add a strong CAT 5 to any year available

A project that i was planning on doing but delayed a bit due to life.. and Hurricane Irma.. (that thing really blew the big one, literally).
I believe i had mentioned sometime back that i would work on a global 'tropical cyclone totals' project that would showcase all of the tropical and subtropical cyclones that would form in a given year.
I'm working on it over on Hypothetical Hurricanes but once it's done i'm gonna be bringing it over here so you guys can see what i've got going on.

The 2017 Season has about exceeded my Expectations
Well, as i've been fighting some kind of an Illness during the last week, i've ended up watching how the Tropics have been playing out.
And man, i have to say, so far, this season has exceeded my expectations.

To Start, Arlene allowed 2017 to become the third year in a row to feature a Pre-Season storm, with Arlene forming on April 19th, and i believe it was the first April Storm since Ana in 2003, plus, at 990 mbar, it surpassed Ana (2003) to become perhaps the mot intense April storm on Record for the Atlantic.

What a crazy experience
Well Guys, i just got my Power Restored after Irma had knocked it out Late-Sunday.
And, boy oh boy, was Irma once heck of an Experience?
So, as i previously said, yeah, i lost power, and bad timing too as i was about to come work on stuff when it did, it happened at roughly 7 PM that day (When it was also the Peak of the Season).
But as the Night went on while my loved ones were staying, things got crazy.
With a Weather Station that i had gotten not long before, i managed to log Sustained 50 mph Winds with Gusts up to 70 mph, plus, within 24 hours, the pressure had dropped from 1008 mbar to 976 mbar.
All of this came from the Eastern Side of Irma.

Irma an extremely dangerous hurricane for Florida
Okay, this is probably a state-the-obvious post, but I'll do it anyway for those that don't think the threat from Irma is real. If you have seen the horrific things coming out of the Lesser Antilles since Irma passed through, you'll know what I'm on about, but if not, I'll briefly outline it now.
Irma tore through the Lesser Antilles the other day as a life threatening category 5 hurricane, one of only 2 category 5's to hit that region on record - the other was the Great Hurricane of 1780. Upto 95% of the island of Barbuda was destroyed, and is probably uninhabitable for at least the next few weeks. Before you scoff and dismiss this based off how poor the region is, take into account that several weather stations in the region reported wind…

you need GIMP and edios world view for this
Step 1. open gimp and load the basin you cropped
Step 2. open the storm image
Step 3. go into the colors tab and click desaturate and then click the lumiensence and the hit OK
Stept 4. now click invert in the colors tab
Step 5. now click levels and set it to 32, 1,00 and 206 < in colors tab
Step 6. now in the colors tab click alpha and change it to black and there you have your image!
if its a storm from the SHem in the nhem flip it and vice versa
Step 7. then crop
Step 8. and then export it.

Yesterday (My Birthday) wasnt as awesome as i was hoping due to one of my loved ones being Injured, plus, other members of my family couldnt really make it so i was a bit bummed out.. BUT i have a new Weather Station PLUS i found my OLD Hurricane Tracking Software (Eye Of The Storm 3000) CD from about Eight Years ago, which, thanks to its "Add Storm Manually" and VCR (Or DVD Play and Rewind) Features, i've actually been able to make Hypothetical Hurricane Seasons with since yesterday.
Maybe at some point i can give you guys some looks at what im doing.. or perhaps better, when i come back to work again.
