The 2026 Atlantic hurricane season was a above average season that was notably less active than the previous year, the season featured a suprizing high levels of activity, despite this the season had no category 5 the first since 2015, most storms that became hurricane either peaked as a category 1 or a category 3, the season began on June 1 and ended on November 30, however tropical and subtropical cyclones can form at anytime of the year. The most notable systems were Marco and Paulette which affected there respective countries.
This was the list of names used to name tropical and subtropical cyclones during 2026, any unused names are marked in gray, any unretired names will be used in 2032. This same name list was used in 2020 with the exception of the names Deborah, Edouard, Graham and Heidi, which replaces the retired names Dolly, Edouard, Gonzalo and Hanna, the names Deborah, Eric, Graham and Paulette were used for the first time Paulette was supposed to be used in 2014 and 2020 but wasnt. Heidi was previously used in 1971.

In Spring of 2027 the WMO retired the names Marco and Paulette due the fatalities and damage they caused during the season, the names will never be used again to name another atlantic tropical and subtropical cyclone again, instead the names Mason and Phoenix were chosen to replace them in 2032
