A cold front wandering into the open Southern Atlantic and began taking on subtropical characteristics. the low on january 25th was designated TD01Q and was later upgraded to Arupta and on January 28 Arupta was absorbed by a extratropical system.

On February a low formed and began spinning over Brazil on February the low exited Brazil very organized and was named Bas,by the South Atlantic Cyclone Organization.
